Size 6 – The base of the plaid photographs as dark, but it’s not quite as dark as the photos. I love the yellow streak in the pattern. Very unique. The size 6 fit well, so tts. For reference, I’m 5’0″, 34DD.
My red shoes are Kate Spade Sedgewick rain boots. I wear 7.5 and chose the size 6-7. There’s no 8. It jumps from 7 to 9. So odd. I’m lucky they worked out for me. I’ve been wearing them in our wet weather.
Sleeve length on the left. The best size would probably be an 8P, but I like the way the rest of the jacket fits. The satin lapel is nota very shiny satin. The sheen is subtle. The buttons are gold nad that’s what’s underneath the white tissue paper at my left wrist. The one-button jacket style doesn’t always flatter my midsection, but it worked in this blazer.

Over the past year, my weight has been fluctuating (now that I’m over 30) and just the other day when I put on one of my bazillion J.Crew Factory pencil skirts in my regular size, I started to notice how “snug” they started to feel in my widest part of my hips, but are super loose in the waist. I’ve always been a good size 2 (I’m 5’4″ on a good day) in Factory pencils – but they’ve always sat on me strange (never really noticed until my hips got bigger now) and the waist remains too big but fitted (now) in the hips. I’ve been debating about sizing up to a size 4 to make room for my hips, but that means the waist is going to be even more loose (and then would sit way low on my body ) and the pencil skirt would end up probably going past my knees in length if I pulled the waist down.
I saw in your reviews that you are 5’0″ – have you ever tried/worn their petite skirts or items at J.Crew (or Factory)? I’m curious if a Factory pencil in 4P might fit me better since I’m having strange issues with 2 regular (and a 4 regular would be big in the waist.) However, I saw that they don’t carry petite sizes in the Factory stores? Any info you have on how petite vs. regular skirts sizing would be great! I’ll also check out the J.Crew Afic. site.
