I was surprised to see the FRIENDS40 extended for a 2nd day thru today at Ann Taylor. Here are a few more dress reviews.
Dotted mesh lace shift ($139) runs regular 00-18 (341320) and petite 00-16 (349715). The color is black.
Size 6 – The 6 fit well, so tts. I like the lace and the three see-thru areas.
You could wear a black something underneath it if you want to underline the fact that that part is see-thru. I would try a couple different bras, including nude and strapless to see which one I liked best.
Polka dot short sleeve shirtdress ($129) regular XXS – XL (348325), petite XXS – XL (349597) and tall XS – XL (349777). The color is called ink haze.
Size S – Size S fit well so TTS. I’ve taken S in most numeric dresses this year at J. Crew if that also helps you w/sizing. Oh, and I’m 5’0″, 38″ across the chest & 39″ hip.
Close-up of the dots. I got kind of excited about this one even though I’ve resolved that I’m better at admiring dots than wearing.
Faux leather trim colorblock dress ($149) runs regular 0-18 (343026) and petite 00-16 (343036).
Size 8P – I love the colorblocking on this one and the flax shade of the skirt is perfect. This a-line skirt silhouette usually isn’t a figure match for me, but it works. They cut it nicely and I’d expect it to flatter a number of different figures.
It felt fun and flirty. Not my style. A little bit Judy Jetson, but updated. I think less is more when accessorizing this one otherwise you’ll venture into costumeland. I.e. if over-the-knee boots sound good with it, it’s not, really.
More Ann Taylor Reviews
* Pintuck perfect shirt – I almost got this one. Size PM fit well. Definite thumbsup.
* Rounded hem shift dress – I didn’t try this one on, but it’s a reader recommendation. She says it runs tts. Looks good w/a blazer and necklace.
* Striped ruffle sleeveless shirt – Stripes + a subtle ruffle Really cute. It’s poly, but I like the design. I think I’d get a PM in this to bring up the length a bit.
* Textured striped dress – Another reader recommendation. She says it flatters a large chest, also. Thanks, A 🙂
