When I received an email from Anthro announcing their bi-annual tag sale, I immediately headed over to Effortless Anthropologie for all the details. Well, yeah, Anthro put details in their email, but there’s nothing like visiting the die hard community for the micro info. Roxy (blog owner) is a blur of amazement!
I tried the lattice shoulder top in the first row. The size M I tried gave some drape in the stomach area, but it was too big overall. I would take a S in it. I thought the white was a dingy color. The one I tried definitely wasn’t a true or bright white. The blue print top is the same style. It would probably be more forgiving, visually, in the mid-section. The skirt is really cute on and reviewers are right that it (somehow) hides a pooch. I did not believe it to be true, but yes the skirt did it even on me. The dress in the lower right is getting mixed reviews. It seems if you have a straighter figure it might work. I never know w/these reviewers and just try to pick the best size based on my personal experience w/the brand as the deciding factor.
Anthro always has cute belts. These repeat ones from the past, but still look nice. A couple years ago I sneered at belting everything and now I do it at any occasion I can. It really can create a waist where there is none. The little navy number w/the stripe ribbon & bow looks really cute. I ordered a striped cloche hat on the last free shipping promo. Love it and have worn it. I saw these necklaces in-person and each are very pretty. The first one I really like. The second one is a beauty and the third one is a little spiky, but sparkly and cute.
I like looking at saddle bags, but don’t own any. This one looks really nice. The tote on the right is a little quirky and a lot charming in-person. That’s a band of leather at the top that goes all the way around. The handles are leather, I believe, and the strap is cloth. The print has a duck on it, if I recall correctly. You can wear the bag shorter or lengthen it to wear crossbody. It’s so cute.Nah, lemme go back to quirky. Cute is more common. This lil’ guy is unique.
Even if you rarely shop at Anthro, consider signing up for the Anthro card. It’s free. Not a credit card. It seemed to be near worthless except for receipt look ups, but they have improved the program. When the tag sale kicked off yesterday, stores opened an hour early for Anthro cardholders. I also saw a little flyer in-store about new benefits, such as free shipping twice/year or something to that effect. Read some older info about the card in this post on EA.
How are you & Anthro these days? Did you shop this sale?
