Marimekko for Banana Republic kivet full skirt – My apologies for not having the ticket info. The Marimekko pieces went so fast. I couldn’t believe they allowed people to Reserve In Store. I imagine some people held multiple sizes and so on, which would interfere with online orders since they’re sometimes fulfilled by stores. I read a brief blurb about the possibility of the most popular pieces being re-released, but I’ll have to investigate.
Size 6 – The fit was good. Juuust fit. Sizing up would give length, but not make it sleeker. I think it would get more voluminous. I wanted to order the 6 tall to get it close to a midi on me, hopefully. But I cheaply waited for the cardholder promo to go into effect and almost everything was sold out. I liked the fabric. It had a texture to it, as opposed to completely smooth. If memory serves…
Lattice print pleated skirt (950612, $79.50) runs 0-16, 97% cotton, 3% spandex. It says it’s lined, on the website. I didn’t pay attnetion when I tried it on. Dry clean.
Size 6 – TTS I’m 5’0″ and take 6 in most sizes in J Crew. I would expect to take a 6 in BR, but sometimes this skirt style is better in an 8. I would get the 6. I like the print, but the darker color in the skirt seemed a little mustardy, which I associate with fall. Also, BR released a printed top in a similar, medallion print and I believe that was fall 2012. At any rate, it is a spring/summer skirt.
* Floral lace tank – We’ve seen lace and in this floral pattern. I like that it’s a tank top. Not quite as common.
* Lemon print full skirt – Love the lemon prints we’ve seen this spring.
* Silver pleated skirt – Beautiful sheen. A linen blend that might be best for occasions where there’s lots of standing, according to the reviews. Wrinkles.
* Jaynie sandals – Metallics! I’m ’bout it.
Been to BR lately? Did you buy any Marimekko?
