I’ve decided to try and focus on one store at a time and have about 4 or 5 reviews before switching to another store. However, I have to interrupt the Target reviews to talk about Kohl’s.
The wonderful & talented Shannon reviews it here.
The ELLE line at Kohl’s has a jacket in the inspiration of the Anthropologie Take a Bow. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Hey, do I need to start carrying around a mini bottle of windex and some paper towels? Some of these dressing room mirrors are awful.
The Kohl’s version is $50, but was 30% off today. In the previous post I just finished saying polyester rarely touches my body and that isn’t entirely true. It has to have the right feeling. Noisy, hee-bee-jee-bee causing polyester is bad. This feels more like a cotton. But you know it’s poly.
Kohl’s verision – Cut wider across the chest than the Anthro version, the sleeves are shorter and the jacket is cropped. I got it anyway so I wouldn’t regret passing it by. I will try it over a couple of dresses. I am considering having it taken it. I pulled it back and a tighter fit looked better. If I can’t make it work or don’t want to pay for alterations it will go back. I wish I had better pictures. It may not look very exciting in the photo, but it is cute with the collar up around the neck and then it swoops into the bow. Hard to photograph the details at nite. Not sure if it comes in XS, but here are the S measurements
Kohl’s version, size S –>
Underarm-to-underarm – 23″
Shoulder-to-hem – 18″
Sleeve-to-sleeve – 38″
While I was looking for an online pic of this, I came across another knockoff by the ELLE line. It’s like the chino Liana by J Crew. I’m pretty sure that was the name of it. This is a cotton/poly/spandex blend and currently marked down to $36.99. I didn’t see it in person.
Think Kohl’s did a pretty good job?
