So I tried on this dress at Clinique the other day. Ha ha. I’m such a riot. Of course Clinique doesn’t manufactures clothes. I’m just easing both you & I into my first makeup post. I discussed skin last month when I shared my Fresh experience.
I’ve had some small bumps, like a rash, on my forehead. Excess oil I think. I’ve been using Studio Fix for over a decade and it only recently occurred to me that I should switch out. Another issue was the color not quite matching like it used to and feeling like my face looks over powdered and flat. So I switched to Mineralize Skin Finish in the hopes of having a product better for my face. I liked it initially, but I still felt I had most of the same problems. When I saw that I was almost finished with my powders and concealer, I decided to do a makeup overhaul. I remembered that Clinique is hypo-allergenic and that’s why I chose to go straight to their counter.
Here’s my haul:
switched to the M.A.C. #191 earlier this year and thought that was good, but I’m going to use it for the foundation instead.
Bonus: Prescriptive’s Calyx is back, re-branded as Clinique Calyx. Same bottle, too.
I’m really happy with my new makeup. If your makeup routine has been the same or you haven’t changed the products you have been using for eons, shake it up. It feels good. I never, ever thought I would, but I said ‘haul.’ That is all.
p.s. Did you know I’m on Instagram? I’m also on Facebook. You can follow Gigi’s Gone Shopping as a fan. Or follow Gigi Ofca, which I believe I put up before they had fan pages. I still don’t get into political stuff, but on the 2nd page I sometimes share internet articles, videos or other things I don’t put on the blogs.
p.p.s. You didn’t know I have another blog? I needed a space for shoes. And handbags & accessories. It’s called 1060 Pairs. You’re invited to follow!
