MONDAY gets 25% off $150+ & free shipping online only and ending in a little over an hour. The banner is no longer showing on the website, but the promo should still work until 11:59 PST. I just placed an order.
One thing to seriously consider are the coats. Even if J Crew offers a promo specifically on coats, it’s usually something like “up to 25% off.” Anytime you see “up to,” not every item is on sale and the items that are on sale might be 15% off; not nesc 25% off. However, you are able to use your educator/student discount in conjunction, from my understanding of current policy. If you are able to use this discount you may have found it to be hit or miss as far as using it on promos and markdowns. If there’s a coat you want now, you might be better off buying it with a for sure 25% off. Especially if your weather is changing and you need a coat asap. Many of us don’t need coats (waves white flag) and want to see if there will be markdowns + being able to catch a markdown price with a 30% promo. I have played that game and lost so many times that my last stream of coats in the past 2 years have been from other retailers. A couple of said coats have managed to eek a sleeve out the closet door, reminding me of their presence. They’re going to have to sit tight awhile longer because our weather was 103 degrees today and still 83 degrees as 7:30 tonite. But if I did need a coat, I’d consider:
Stadium-cloth boueveard trench – This color could be tricky in bad weather, but it would be sooo beautiful. It also comes in a camel like color called saddle.
Stadium-cloth mod coat – I like all 4 colors that this one is offered in. Online only.
Eisenhower – This has zilch, nothing, nada to do with my mostly chosen fall/winter palette of burgundy, camel and navy. I like the big pockets and I love the color. I’m not sold on those dark buttons, but hopefully I’ll get to see the jacket for myself in-person in the near future.
Icon trench in wool-cashmere – I feel that I really need this in my life. I have absolutely nothing close to it. However, I’ve been trying to ignore it. Cost too great in relation to the lack of space I have is forcing sobriety here.
Thanks for stopping by…
