J Crew’s bow-shoulder top in oversized gingham (SU16, F2930, $79.50) — I currently see regular size 00 – 12 on the site. It might have run 000 – 16, like the striped bow-shoulder top (review) . The color is called coral multi (CMU). 100% cotton, 100% viscose decoration (the bow). Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, tumble dry low.
6/28 – currently $59.99
Size 8 – Great colors that you can wear into fall if you still have warmer temps like we do at that time. The bow doesn’t work untied, imo. Maybe if it’s ironed, then put a cute pin on the shoulder. I prefer the bow. I also kind of like the size 8. I liked the extra room. I think this one runs tts, but if you want to guarantee a loose feel in the body then go up one size. Size 8 is one up for me (5’0″, 34DD).

J Crew’s tie-front gingham shirt (SP16, $79.50) runs regular 000 – 16 (F0872), petite P00 – P12 (F1785) and tall T2 – T16 (F1801). Color choices are faded redwood (FRE) and warm seaside (WSE). 100% cotton.
6/28 – currently $49.99
Size 4 – warm redwood – This was a bit tight where the shoulder meets the arm and the top of the arm. The size 6 (not pictured) fit better, so it’s tts. Or, take the larger of your two sizes if you vacillate between.
I also tried the 8P (not pictured) and it was shorter. It didn’t work. I thought it would be cute over a dress, but I wasn’t enamored with it enough to try regular 8 to see if I could gain enough length and fullness to achieve that look. I ordered this top 3 different times and none were winners. The tie doesn’t work for me. Love the warm redwood color.
The tie didn’t work for me. It also makes it a little less versatile. You have to keep it tied or tuck it in. Great color, though, and I don’t mind the crinkly fabric.
