J Crew classic popover shirt in striped cotton gauze (SU16, $69.50) runs regular 000 – 16 (F0873), petite P00 – P12 (F2658) and tall T2 – T16 (F2659). Color choices are sundrenched pool (SPO, a blue shade) and vibrant red (VRE). 100% cotton, contains non-textile parts of animal origin. Made in Thailand.
Size 6 – I anticipated this running a little big, but it doesn’t. It fit tts and you might feel that most in the shoulders and arms.
I bought this size and ended up exchanging it for the 8P. Once I got home and put it on, the 6 looked long, like a tunic. It felt too casual and loose on. I prefer the more polished looking cut of the 8P (not pictured). For size reference I’m 5’0″, 34DD.
The left pic shows how there’s some room in the body, but it didn’t feel oversized in that area.

J Crew embroidered linen top (SP16, $110) runs regular 000 – 16 (F0825), petite P00 – P12 (F2656) and tall T2 – T16 (F2657). Color choices are flax (FLA), vibrant red (VRE) and white (WHI).
5.25.16 – cut to $79.99
Size 6 – The size fit fine, so tts. There’s no shoulder seam to make a distinction between the shoulder and arm. It creates a rounded shoulder effect, like some dreaded drop-sleeves. If you wear a long pendant necklace, it will bring the eye down toward the center of your body and away from your shoulders.
I really liked the fabric and the details on this. Yes, the linen will wrinkle, but that doesn’t bother me in the middle of summer. I’d wear it as a casual top and not for any work situations. I’d also go for a petite size to bring the sleeves up a little.
If I had a do-over, I’d tilt this thumb a bit. I like the fabric, details and color options. However, they should’ve just made the arms separate from the body and stitched them so there was a shoulder seam. If you love it, but have a problem with the shoulders, try a pendant necklace.
