By the way the fit looks, I’m going to guess that this is a 6, but I didn’t snap a pic of the tag so I can’t say for sure. ETA: I found a pic of the tag! It’s definitely a size 6. That’s the Tippi in kelly green. In the file along w/the cheetah skirt pics is a thumbs down pic of the kelly green Tippi. Funny because I now own it.
ETA: Along w/that size 6 confirmation, here is The Feeling (original) of the kelly green Tippi:
And with the skirt. Yeah, I think this color combo works. Although my h.s. colors were green & gold (yellow) so maybe that’s a factor.
I don’t get a chance to put up all of my pics/reviews, but I have sometimes seen things irl. I’m happy to share an opinion if asked, or in this case a question prompts me to put up a review.
I tried this on w/the intent to share pics. I have purchased shiny, lamé fabrics that I think are going to be soooo great during holiday. They never get worn. I also don’t recall being too keen on the print along w/the shine.
No cheetahs were harmed in the making of this skirt. They just took a baby cheetah’s paw, dipped it in some paint and created the print that way. Doesn’t it look like a little paw swiped at the skirt? That’s not a jab. It’s very interesting and I kind of like the abstractness of it. I don’t think it’s a digital print. It definitely looks organic. I liked that about it.
Collection Lucille dress in cheetah brocade (11102, $395) is now on sale for $229.99. The color is called gold multi, sizes 00-14. (ETA: dress was priced $129.99 online on 12/16) The copy doesn’t say it’s an online only item, but I haven’t seen it in a store near me. Let’s talk it out. The Lucille silhouette is very flattering. Irl pics of the Lucille in cotton/silk and in scalloped eyelet. This incarnation has 3 bows on the back. I like bows very much, but I’m not sure this dress needed them. It makes me think of a fancy Wilma Flintstone costume. On the upside, this could be worn w/a black turtleneck over it or a Tippi in a complementing color and just show the skirt. So there’s a little versatility. You can always do the cardi + belt thing for another option. And then of course all by itself. That’s a lotta gold lamé matelassé for me and I’m quite certain I wouldn’t wear it. However, I think it could be chic & unique on the right person. If you get this I think you need to consider your hair, makeup and shoes. It’s not just a throw-on dress.
