J Crew’s Campbell blazer in corduroy runs regular 000 – 16 (F4719) and petite P000 – P12 (F2688). Color choices are dutch sky (bright blue), masala chai, navy and vibrant flame (looks orange).
Masala chai is on promo for $158 + 40% off w/YESPLEASE from Wed, 10/5 – Tue, 10/11. There’s no telling if the jacket will stay on promo, go back up to regular price or get marked down in this color. Or others. This is a size 10P. The necklace is old Kate Spade. J. Crew’s pearl twisted hammock necklace ($98) and Factory multi-strand necklace ($52.50) are similar. I’m wearing the Factory leopard Teddie sweater.
This shot shows exactly why the Campbell cut doesn’t work on me. I have to go up from 8P to 10P to be able to ensure I can get a long sleeve shirt under and be able to button it. I usually don’t button my blazers, but it’s nice to have the option. The one-button also doesn’t work for my average length torso and chest size. The cut looks too boxy and I don’t feel really comfortable in it even though it seems to be the correect size. I do own the tartan plaid Campbell from HO15 in a size 4. I don’t know what the difference is in fit because it still looks fine. T-shirt isn’t red, but a rusty brown color. The necklace is J. Crew. Both are from different seasons. I still get a kick when I see how old and new J. Crew mix perfectly.
I really love the masala chai color. Lots of versatility with the shade and texture. The plaid shirt and earrings are both J. Crew.
Slight thumb tilt. Love, love the color and the wale of the cord is perfect. Fit is off for me. A sales associate said that the Campbell fit has been off for some, so I’m not alone.
- crystal chain necklace ($98) – Pretty. Only promo for $95 + 40% off.
- Harpur high-heel sandal ($69) – I haven’t seen these irl, but I’m convinced it would look like I had Guiness Book of World Records worthy toe hair. They would be cute in pink or a another color.
- Poshhh novelty pumps ($89) – I can’t with the single eye. Maybe it makes sense when the shoes are on the feet, next to one another.
- Zappp puff sneakers – These are stinking cute! I thought the puff would elongate my foot length or look stupid, nah. They’re fun (!) and run tts.
What do you think about the Campbell fit? What’s your favorite J. Crew blazer cut of all time, past or present?
p.s. As of last week or so, there’s been a change on jcrew.com. When you receive your shipping email confirmation, you can click on the link to see the estimated delivery date. What is different is that you are not taken to UPS or USPS. Your package progress is viewable and you can add your phone number for text updates. I like it. Here’s a screenshot after I added my phone number. The tracking number is no longer visible, but that doesn’t bother me:
