Size 6 – I optimistically grabbed a 6, hoping for the best. I’ve been a size 8 in some of the dresses with a more defined shape at the waist. The 6 fit well, no issues getting up the zipper or anything. The bodice has a cotton lining, the skirt has no lining. That didn’t bother me at all. The fabric is substantial, feels woven. Not thin.
With heels. I usually don’t like ikat and after never wearing the ochre ikat pencil skirt, I decided that it just isn’t for me. I usually just look at the season offering and don’t bite. This one I was very interested in from the moment I saw the first catalog shots. Hi there pockets!
I thought the brain waves across the chest would be a potential issue, but I didn’t find that to be the case. There’s an interesting explosion of shapes meeting up at the waist seam that also draw interest. The whole thing just works. I wouldn’t describe myself as curvy. Just carrying moe lbs than I’d like for my height. I bring it up to point out that I don’t know how the dress will fit if you’re thinner or are at the beginning of the alphabet in cup size. I think I read a comment or two about someone not liking the fit.
