J Crew Factory’s pleated shift dress (50344, $98) runs 0 – 14. The color choices are cove casablanca blue, neon rose and retro lemon. I love the lemon. Wish I could wear it.
Size 4 – chest = 36″, waist = 29″
Size 6 – chest = 37″, waist = 30″
Size 4 – There was no 6 to try. This is a fakie. I couldn’t zip the back of it. This is the factory version of last year’s Allie dress (review). I think a 6 would’ve fit, but I would have to try it to be sure. I have been 6-8 in the past year+ in J Crew dresses. I’d say take your usual JC dress size.
Pockets! I don’t think the factory casablanca blue is as saturated as the last year’s retail casablanca blue. It was vibrant, but felt a little pale. Check it out on Closet Crisis.
The pleated shift dress also comes in polk dot. Retail is $108, currently on promo for $79.50.
J Crew Factory’s button-back sundress (41687, $69.50) comes in bohemian red, byzantine blue & light emerald. Sizes run XS – XL. On promo at the time of writing for $59.50.
Size S – I couldn’t get the dress to sit properly on my torso. It was too revealing and this is the only shot I wanted to share. I think the straps would have to be taken up. S felt ok, but I would also try M to be sure. This is the factory version of last year’s Villa dress. This dress is available in stripe and click here for the Villa review. The skirt was longer in last year’s version. I prefer this length.
