Utility vest (SU14, A1284, $88) runs XXS – XXL. The color is tuscan olive (TOL). 100% cotton.
Size S – TTS, go w/your usual or most common alpha size. I’m a 36C.
No side-entry on the pockets. Top-entry only.
Short-sleeve stripe anchor sweatshirt (SU14, A5112, $64.50) runs XXS – XXL. The color is called heather dusk (HDU). 100% cotton.
Size S – TTS, take your usual/most common alpha size. The stripes are cute, but I like the retail version because the floral has more contrast. The sweatshirts are about the same, though. The factory version might be a little thinner. Which is better as we continue to move into warmer temps.
Printed-linen cotton mini (SU14, 42251, $75) runs 00-16. The color is called ivory navy (INA). It also comes in a pink based print called lavender peony (LPE). 55% linen, 45% cotton, 100% cotton lining. Made in the Philippines. Machine wash cold, gentle and tumble dry low.
Size 6 – ivory-navy – I thought size 8 would fit better, but I didn’t see it on the rack so I tried the 6. The waistband stretches more on me in the 6, not creating as much of a paperbag waist style. I’m fine with that because I’m not a shirt tucker. The fit was fine thru the hips, though. I’m 39″. I’m 5’0″ so length was fine on me as well.
Printed tunic with solid bib (SU14, A5440, $74.50) run XXS – XL. 100% cotton.
7/3 ETA – $36.99 online vs $44.97 in-store
Size XS – I didn’t think the XS would work, but I wanted to try it just in case. Also, sometimes trying a size smaller or larger helps gauge how my usual size is running in an item. It fit, but there was no room for a lot of movement.
As I expected, it was tight in the arms.
Size S – The S fit much better. I’m rarely a fan of the collarless neckline, but I didn’t mind it so much in this case. Maybe because it transitions quickly to the printed fabric. It’s not a solid colored, collarless bib top.
There are no buttons or clasps in the bib portion of the top.
Three-quarter sleeve beaches sweatshirt (SU14, A5099, $64.50) (INA). 100% cotton.
Size S – I need another sweatshirt like I need…well, I just don’t need. But I tried it on to share pics and fell in love with it. California beaches are listed and as a former resident of Venice, I love that. The retail version had different ports of the world.
The fit was a little loose in the body, but I liked that. I wouldn’t want to size down, personally. It felt very comfortable, but not sloppy.
Addtl 10% promo in-store
Yesterday, corporate sent an email to the Factory stores instructing them to take an additional 10% off all transactions. The 50% off storewide for women & men is still going, so it 50% + 10%. I bought the beaches sweatshirt (S, still fits a little loose but I like the fit) and chambray pocket popover (got 4, need the 6) and was happy to receive the surprise discount on top of it. The poor workers were burnt out already this holiday weekend. No one was excited to inform the customers they were getting an addtl discount. The addtl 10% off is still going as of today, Sunday. The stores don’t know when it will end, but I imagine they’ll run it thru the Monday holiday.
The cashier also threw this card in my bag. I didn’t know it was in there until I got home. So no, no explanation of the card or invitation to shop it up so I can save 30% off on a future purchase. The card was just randomly thrown in there. There are only a couple of employees at this particular store that are awesome. The rest simply don’t know how to rise above lackluster management.
Get 30% off your third purhase at Factory store between April 21 & Dec 31, 2014. After 2 transactions, your third will will yield 30% off. Can’t be used with any other offer, yadda legalese. Pretty cool deal if you are buying in-between big promo days.
