Linen v-neck sweater in yarn-dye (SU14, A5234, $69.50) runs XXS – XL. Color choices are english saddle, marled indigo, sandy reef and white. 100% linen. Tag says dry clean, but does not say dry clean only. It was marked $59.99 in-store when I tried it on last week. Of course the store tickets aren’t always accurate. It’s currently $49.99 online.
Size XS – I thought this might run a little big, so I chose XS to try. I would get this size. I usually take S in J Crew at the moment, sometimes M. 5’0″, 36C.
I do think the sweater runs a smidge on the short side. So keep in mind that the length will be a little shorter if you size down. The average is 1/4 – 1/2″ difference between sizes.
Pleated crepe short (SP14, A2658, $75) run 00-14. The color choices are black, bright cerise, byzantine purple, navy and warm blush. 100% poly. They’re currently $34.99 online. I’ve seen them marked $24.99 in-store, but was told by a SA that the price only applied to the bright cerise. She didn’t seem 100% sure of what she was viewing on the iPad device.
Size 6 – bright cerise – I reviewed the navy here. Without having it handy, I’d say modern red is similar to bright cerise. Bright cerise looks orange to me. A deep, bright orange. Possibly with some red tones. But it doesn’t read as red. An obvious, easy pairing is the keeper chambray shirt (review).
