Size 2 – chest = 36.5″, high hip = 38″, low hip 40″, length top edge to bttom 31 1/4″”
Size 4 – chest = 37.5″, high hip = 39″, low hip 41″, length 31 5/8″

Size 4 – It looked loose, so I decided to try size 4 over my usual size 4. No pockets. Boo! If it had pockets, it would be nearly perfect. As-is, it’s pretty good. Can’t beat a 100% cotton lining these days. I like the navy.
Definitely size down.
It felt too long, so I positioned it to see how it would look shorter. Check out the neon coral on Ina.

ETA: I bought the 4P in navy and it seemed to fit well. There was looseness still in the torso area, but it looked fine in the dark color. The first time I wore the dress I had on a lightweight cardigan. No issues. The second time I wore it, I didn’t have on a cardigan and the straps kept falling down, settling on my biceps. I had the dress on at home so I didn’t feel exposed, but it was pretty annoying. I still haven’t recvd my 2P in white, but I’m now wishing I’d ordered the navy in 2P. I will have to restitch the straps or have them professionally altered to fit better. I was tugging at the dress all day.
Size 2 – The size 4 felt big, so I decided to try the 2. It definitely fit just fine, so size down one or two sizes in this one. Note that I usually take size 6. It’s long and white has that borderline nightgown effect, so I would go for a 4P. It would look cute with a brown belt and green military style jacket. A look we’ve seen a number of times, but hey, it works.
ETA: I ended up with a 2P and wore it to the BlogHer14 Conference.
Note the windowpane pattern in the fabric. Nice.

Revelation 4.1
This one is cute, but as you said sizing is tricky. I had to size down to a 0 from an always-4-in-JC-dresses when I tried it in store but also would need a petite size so the length wouldn't feel too dowdy. I ordered both the 2P and the 0P (I'm sorry, but that's insane.. I'm neither a 0 or a P) last week on the free shipping day to try.
I have no idea why they number-sized this dress when there is no tailoring to it whatsoever.
silver_lining – It sounds like you're going to be a 0P in this. I'm in agreement that it should've been alpha sized.
I tried it yesterday in the neon coral color and I agree it is much better than I thought. The 0 seemed fine (I have the tank and went with the 0), I think the sizing on this one depends on bra size. If I didn't have similar dresses already I would go for it. The white one is though to pull off without looking in a nightgown.
Ema – The white one is very nightgownish and needs to be styled in order to ensure it looks like a dress. I do like the windowpane effect in the fabric

I ordered it in a 6P (I am short) in the pale grape thinking that it would be more like a regular 4 in terms of overall sizing (but not length) and based on your review I'm guessing I'll still be swimming in it. their sizing is so crazy. It arrives this week but I'm guessing it'll be exchanged for a smaller size…
candm – I'm 6P or 8P and would go for the 4P. It has elastic in the back and it's a rather full cut in the front. That's making the sizing too big. The pale grape looks pretty online.
I bought the top like this last weekend when its was included with the 30% off swim promo = and wore it on our 100 degree day here this past week. LOVED it! so much that I ordered the dress in the orange color, which I believe was part of the Hisummer promo, but am so disappointed it is backordered! My VPS couldn't find my size in any store, so I have to wait. The cotton lining is fab. Glad you liked the dress! 😀
