Today is the last day for the tiered JINGLE promo. Save 20% on $100 or more, 25% on $150 or more and 30% on $250 or more. We’ve seen a lot of promos and this is another goodie as it is sitewide. Remember that final sale will be returning soon. My prediction is 12/21. Someone else guessed 12/23 on The Mothership. At any rate, now is the time to try items you’re interested in and not be stuck with them on final sale.
Goldmine sweater (52232, $59.99 online orig $138) – Size M – I would get a S over M. It’s a bit see-thru. Keep this in mind if you wear it to a party. If photos are being taken, a camera flash might expose more than you wish to share. Very nice sweater. The shimmer is more for evening, imo, than every day. Although you could wear this w/white jeans in the summer. When I saw this in-store it had a snag or two. I guess you have to watch your jewelry w/this one. 77% cotton/23% metallic. See it on ShOperaRach.
Size 2 – Chest = 33″
Size 4 – Chest = 35″
Jackie cardi in spruce (29350, $39.99 orig $62)- As you can see, the online image has more vibrancy and color than the cardi does irl. It’s still a blue-green color, but it lacked luster.
I thought this color would go well w/the silk scarf tank in blurred rose, but the frosted spruce does nothing for my skin tone, so pass.
Café capri in warm jade (57064, $79.50) – I went up one an 8P in these. J Crew tends to make leaner cuts in their fitted trousers, esp in the rear. I’ve been working around my stomach when getting dressed in the past few months. However, after I get rid of most of it I think there is a chance I might still want the 8P in some cases. Check them out on J Crew Is My Favorite Store.
What the effs do you wear with this great color? I found some obvious answers in my closet. What is not so obvious is why Words With Friends allowed my opponent to use the word effs. Is that really a word? This person also used gox. What is gox? I rarely read directions or instructions unless there’s a recipe involved. I read the dir for WWF and I must be missing some strategy. Back to the pants. I don’t know if I’d call it a warm jade. It’s definitely green, but seemed cool. You can ignore the cool/warm thing and go by what you see in photos. I’m finding a good number of items from fall/winter/holiday that will transition easily to spring. These are in that group.
Chainlink cable sweater (54533, $44.99, orig $98) – 100% merino wool. One of the few sweaters that isn’t a blend. From the website, ‘Crafted of merino wool in a cozy 3-gauge knit, with slim three-quarter sleeves that balance out the slightly swingy silhouette…’ That’s the part I like about it. It’s slightly loose at the bottom. The sweater doesn’t look voluminous, though, even with cables. Great, natural shade. J Crew does a good job of creating warm shades. This is warm and not dull. Thumbs up. I took a S. Oh, it’s on the shorter side in length. If you’re taller or have a long torso, this may not be ideal for you. It was recently marked down to $69.99. Excellent, new sale price. and is even better on promo. Check it out on 1 More Shopping Blog.
Chainlink cable sweater in stripe (55197, $49.99, orig $98) – Same sweater as above. I saw this on a JC customer earlier this week in henna and didn’t recognize it until I saw it online again. Check it out on AppGal.
Cowlneck tank (58148, $12.99, orig $35) – This has a drapey fit, but isn’t too loose or slouchy. I like the size S. The material is thin/lightweight. Another one that’ll be better for warmer temps. Looked cute paired w/a leopard cardi that I threw on quickly. Because the material is thin, you have to fool w/the cowlneck, but not too much. All cowlnecks are like that anyway. If they had black, I might consider it. Otherwise, ivory is enough and I will remain multiple-free on this one.
