J Crew’s silk bib top in colorblock (03569, $128) runs 00-12. It’s currently $89.99 online. It as marked $79.99 in-store back in Sept. The color is called pinot noir. Ooh, I feel like poppin’ a bottle right nurrr. Chilean cab, please. It’s supposed to be heart healthy.
Size 6 – This was the right size. I love the navy/wine color combo. I didn’t like how the center navy strip waved down the front. I would be constantly trying to adjust it to fall in the center. I think the straighter or flatter your torso, the less this will be an issue. I can wait for the poly Factory version on this, if the fabric doesn’t feel weird. However, I spun the final sale wheel on the Factory sleeveless colorblock top (6) in the same color combo and I think it’s gonna work out. We’ll see when it finally comes this week. It’s rolling out here via stagecoach. (sigh)
I like the band at the sleeve. I didn’t like that it seemed to accentuate my biceps that haven’t seen 5-lb weights in awhile. And they’re always sitting on the floor next to the couch all sad. Forlorn. Mine are purple.
Silk striped short-sleeve top (03140, $178) is currently $119.99 online. The description doesn’t say online only, but I don’t recall seeing it in-stores. Color choices are pink and sky. I’m not sure of the size range. Probably 00-12, 14 or 16.
Size 6 – Felt like the right size. It felt like it ran a little short. It could potentially hit in a not-flattering place on the hips or look too short if you have a longer torso. I thought this would fare better on me than the silk bib top in stripe or its cotton cousin, the short-sleeve popover in stripe, but I just ended up looking and feeling big in all 3 of them. lol
