Size 2 – After trying on the crepe shift dress (review #3), I thought I should try a 2 in this. they’re the same silhouette. The 2 fit pretty good. I’m convinced that it’s cut fuller thru the chest and back and that’s why you need to go down in size. Note that I usually take 6 in J Crew dresses, an 8 if it has a more fitted waist.
You could actually fold it so it lays open like that, using fashion tape to secure it for the day.
When I got into the dress, the sleeve was tight and stayed bunched up (left pic). Until I pulled it down. It wasn’t an easy pull. I had to tug at it. So sizing down is a necessity for the body of the dress. Your arms will either fit or not fit on the sleeve. Mine are medium right now. Not particularly thin.
The dress felt static-y at the back of the thigh. Another issue w/sizing down. I would wear a slip. Young ones, click here to see what one is.
This dress is 25% off with HEART214 thru tomorrow, 2/14.
