Sparkle henley top (SP15, C1448, $69.50) runs XXXS – XL. The color is white. 100% cotton, exclusive of trim.
Size S – It’s described online as a loose fit. that’s true. Some of you will want to size down one. This is another one with a longer, exaggerated shoulder line and extra space under the arms. Neither of which I like. I’m not sure I’d bother trying a smaller size, personally.
There’s about 3.5″ of material after the wrist button, so this one wants to be cuffed. It felt long, like a French cuff. The gold metallic is pretty of course, but nothing to write home about. If you have gold jewelry that matches the same shade, they would make a stronger statement together.
Closer shot of the top and the side, racing panel-like seaming was interesting. It didn’t seem to go with the blouse, as if they said…this needs something. Yeah, put that.
It’s a two-fabric number. A shirting type cotton in the front and a knit in the back. There’s no elastane listed in the description, but this is a trick they’re employing to try to create a closer fit to the body. They’re relying on the fabric to cling to your back and pull the front closer to you. As opposed to making seams in the front.
Racing-stripe sweatshirt (SP15, B9879, $88) runs XXXS – XL. The color is called heather granite gold. 100% cotton.
2/16 – $54.99 in-store & online
3/14 – $44.99 online, probably the same in-store
Size S – I’m pretty sure this is a S, but not 100%. I do know that it is cropped, as it looks and yes those are dropped shoulders.
Hmmm..what can I say. I get the idea. It should be cute and cropped, but it just didn’t fall that way on me. It just makes me look stocky. The sleeves would definitely need to be pushed up cuz they’re just ridiculous. I did like the racing stripe. But I like almost all shiny things. It reminded me a little bit of a beauty queen sash. It felt like I could have an inside joke with myself when wearing it because no one would see the stripe as the sash except me. And now you. Maybe.

Thanks for sharing your current, personal style thoughts on this post. I haven’t had time to respond, but I read them all! Since writing that post, I’ve given away 4 bags of stuff (mostly books) and have 2 gargantuan, blue IKEA bags to take to the re-sell shop. As far as selling stuff thru JCA, my blog and on Instagram….I haven’t had enough luck with it to inspire me to do it regularly. Sometimes there’s a lot of back-and-forth with questions and dropped communication where I never hear from someone again. I’ve probably failed to respond to people along the way. And there have been a couple of times where I’ve invoiced people, they didn’t pay, never told me they wanted to canx the transaction and didn’t respond to emails when I asked if they wanted to back out. After that happened on my most recent sale efforts, I lost interest. In the past few days, I set aside a box of items I thought would be of particular interest to J. Crew fans. I’ll either create a post and/or list them on this Instagram account, gigisgoneselling. I think.
