My English is slipping and I don’t know why as I haven’t been traveling. I don’t fluently speak another language, but my sentence structure tends to change when talking on a regular basis w/people who speak ESL. I don’t think I made much sense after spending long periods of time in other places. I think I’m just urxtra tired as of late, but anyway, you’ll see all types of weird sentences in recent and probably near future posts. #dontjudge
Tortoise-button sweatshirt – Size S (16720, $69.50) – $39.99 in-store as of 9/6. Still seeing these as of 10/5. The color. So bright. It makes me think of 80s summers. I’m not really sure what that means, but that’s what comes to mind. Summer colors & fashion from the 80s.
In the past, sometimes took The Feeling photos (thumb up or down) and sometimes I didn’t. I rarely published them because they were only for reference for me. As of a couple weeks ago I started publishing them and they’ve been well received. So most future pics I take will have The Feeling photo with it. This pic is from awhile back. I didn’t get The Feeling/thumbs up and neglected to take the thumbs down pic. It’s a little on the short side for my taste. I also didn’t like the colors. And finally, the fabric didn’t feel particularly cozy, comfortable or slimming.
Tortoise-button sweatshirt in stripe – Size M (97900, $69.50) – On sale online for $49.99. I’m not sure what the in-store price is. The sleeves got too big and too long in the M. I prefer other stripe tops I’ve gotten from other retailers. Again, didn’t find this to be particularly cozy or figure flattering for me. And you know I loooove stripes. I’ve passed on it each and every time I’ve seen it. Did three chocolate disc candies fall on my shoulder? No, those are buttons. Yawn. I also don’t like the JC tops where the stripe hits on these. It’s like there needs to be at least one stripe higher. Check it out on 1 More Shopping Blog, on Only Boring People Are Bored and on Zoe Deschanel.
Tie-neck top in dot – Size 6 (16313, $118) – This went down to $59.99 online & sold out immediately on 9/26 – $59.99 in-store on 10/3 – Check it out on A JC Shopping Habit, J Crew Is My Favorite Store, on Jendayi In Progress (scroll down), on Posh To Ganache (4th collage), on Sew Petite Gal and on WMM.
Yeah, I still look pregnant. Whatev.
Drinking some dandelion tea right now, hoping to flush something, or other. The fit was fine on this. I would take the 6.
It still would’ve been nice in a cotton for $88.
Size 4 – chest size = 39″, waist = 39″
Size 6 – chest size = 40″, waist = 40″
I think the stock pic look good w/the chambray shirt under. It definitely needs something.
Accordion pleat top (97869, $68) – Now $44.99 online and that’s the last price I saw in-store. Apologies for a blurry pic. I was using a different camera. You get the idea. This would look awesome on someone that has a defined waist. Check it out 1 More Shopping Blog, on A Package A Day, on Fabulous Florida Mommy and on Feeling J.Crewzy.
Arm hole confirmation that the M is too big.
Yesterday in this post, I reviewed the Naomi polka dot cami, a retail only print blouse and the collection crystal necklace shirt. I’ve been trying to put up a good number of items, esp for those of you decided whether to head to a b&m for lower in-store prices plus the additional 25% off sale items. I asked a SA when it will end and she said she didn’t know. That was earlier in the week. They may now know have an end date.

Cece leather ballet flats – I tried these on in the Tuscan grape for $79.99 and didn’t want them with an addtl 30% off at the time. I thought the color wasn’t purple enough and was too dark to showcase the purple shade it wants to be. Of course when I heard they were $49.99 + 25% off, I had a pair put on hold. When I went to pick them up, I was inclined to pass again because they’re dark. And like I said, they don’t really say purple. I also had a feeling it would not go with my merino turtleneck sweater in crushed grape (S). I bought them anyway because I had on some wedges that weren’t conducive to walking and it was a stroller day. I am fine with them because they’ve improved the fit and they’re very comfortable. I can’t say I’d buy them again if I’d had on another pair of comfortable shoes. And that’s only because the color. If I get a ballet flat in a color, I like it to stand out a little more than this. But it’s fine. I wouldn’t make a special trip for them, but they’re an ok addition to a needed collection of flats. It’s nice to have options since I wear flats 10x more than I used to. Do I sound like a Gemini? I’m not.I love the merino turtleneck sweater. I tried M first, since that’s what I’ve been taking in the Tippi, but my usual JC sweater size of S fit much better. Love the crushed grape. It’s like an electric, royal purple. I think Prince would approve. The musician. Not Dirty Harry or his brother. p.s. Remember that purples often photograph as blue.
