J Crew’s tricolor stripe scarf (06193, $59.50) has a mixed fabric content. 70% wool, 18% polyamide, 12% cotton. It comes in navy blue and white sand (stock pic). The navy blue got a 2nd cut from $39.99 to $29.99 in-store. I saw it on 11/13. Made in Italy.
Keeping with the theme of many other items I’ve tried on this fall at J Crew, this scarf had a masculine vibe. I considered it for my husband, but I don’t think he’d wear it. I forgot to do a thumb rating because I got very distracted by the stripes and the price. It felt like very thick felt. And you know how felt feels. It wasn’t a cozy, more fluid wool. I give it a thumbs up, esp if you can get it for $29.99 + 40% off. Honestly, I know I didn’t do it because I know I’d be buying it for the stripes & price. These are not even stripes I’m overly fond of. I’m just stripesick.
Patchwork grid scarf (FA13, 06182, $65) comes in acorn grey (stock pic) and red grey. 37% wool, 21% alpaca, 21% nylon, 21% acrylic. It was marked $49.99 in-store on 11/13.
This is the acorn grey. Some of the scarves at J Crew missed the mark. That would be the ones currently in the sale section, like this one.
Checker-stripe scarf (07097, $68) comes in 2 colors. Can’t see them right now because the site is crashed. 79% wool, 20% polyamide, Both colors were marked $49.99 in-store on 11/13. Made in Italy.
