J Crew’s merino Tippi sweater (46725, $79.50) runs XXS – XL. That link is to regular price colors. The color I’m reviewing isn’t online. Warm cocoa (WCO). The warm cocoa was still priced $59.99 in-store as of last week. If I had to guess when it will get a 2nd cut, I think it might be a couple more weeks. Totally a guess. Neon yellow was marked $49.99 in-store.
Size S – There were fit discrepancies w/the Tippis last year. I think I took M in the solid colors and S in the novelty Tippis. Since I have a number of them, I haven’t tried any on this year until this one. The size S fit well. So I don’t know if they corrected the fit or if I have lost enough inches to look better in the solid S than I did before.
The color! Buttondown colors like camel and navy would work well. I would even try burgundy, if I had it. Purple would work, too, if you like that combo. Black & white polka dot could be cute, too. And of course other prints.
Collection cashmere button-back sweater in colorblock – Size M ($238) is currently sold out online. The color code for the one I tried on is ASS, $169.99 in-store.
Liberty popover in strawberry thief floral – Size 4 (01405, $150) is now $99.99 in-store & online. There was no 6 to try, so I grabbed the 4. Check it out on ShOperaRach.
It got just a teensy bit more…fitted…when I did the arm row test. I still felt like 4 was the right size.

Merino boyfriend sweater (04842, $88) runs XXS – XL. Color choices black, dusty jade, heather acorn, heather breeze, heather granite, heather grey, heather navy, navy and neon coral. They’re now $59.99 – $69.99 online. Neon coral is $39.99 in-store as of last week. Check it out on A Bigger Closet, on Ina, on Marionberry Style and on ShOperaRach.
Size XXS vs Size S – I own this sweater in XS in a color that sold out at regular price. I knew that was the best size, but I wasn’t seeing it on the rack, so I tried on these two. The XXS fits like a regular sweater with a slight drape, which is not the intent of the design. The arms actually didn’t get too tight on it. The S has the intended boyfriend fit, but it adds weight. The XS is best. I’ve tried on the XS & S a number of times at home & in the fitting room. XS was definitely the best fit. And I’m still rockin 135 lbs. So size down one unless you know your body needs your usual alpha size..
ETA: I’m definitely wearing my Tupler splint in the Tippi/warm cocoa pics. I don’t think I’m wearing it in the other pics in this post. I had my 2nd of 3 Skype session today with Bonnie of Beautiful After the Belly. The sessions are spread out over about a 6 wk period. Here are my measurements after the first 3 wks. I lost a total of 4″:
And I wasn’t even doing the minimum number of exercises. lol
