J Crew’s whisper gauze siesta dress (68113, $69.50) comes in blue grotto, cerise, ivory, and navy. It is on sale in-store for $39.99.
Size S – My inclination was to grab a M, but I didn’t see one, so I tried the S. Me in all my post partum glory and I still kind of liked the dress. I usually hate the elastic waist and shorter skirt styles.
You can see the length. If you are taller you might want to look at this one as a tunic. Personal preference.
It’s sheer in the shoulder & short sleeve. The body of the dress is not sheer.
Looks better w/a necklace added, and the skirt & elastic more properly placed.
Belting the dulap works, too! This dress got really cute when I did that. Well, pockets tend to sway me, so I liked those a lot. Check it out on Only Boring People Are Bored.
A surprising thumbs up on this one. Remember it’s regular price online at the moment and $39.99 in-store.
In other news, I got a compliment on my teeth recently. An acquaintance mentioned that they are very white. I said, y’know, I got this new toothpaste by Colgate called…and we both said Optic White! together. It was pretty funny. I’m thrilled w/the product & I would love to give it its own post, but yeah, right ….I still haven’t finished that mac ‘n’ cheese recipe post, and so on, so here goes:
In 1998 or so I whitened my teeth using custom trays from a dentist. That was the only time I’ve had a professional whitening. I’ve tried Crest White Strips and a couple other brands over the years. I’m pretty bad about remembering to use them consistently. Well, anyway, noticed that my teeth could use a refresher and I was debating whether to do Zoom or something like that. I was in Target 4 or 5 days ago for toothpaste and either I decided to look for a whitening toothpaste and the Colgate Optic White caught my eye. I have used other toothpastes that have whitening agents, but I didn’t feel like they really did anything. My goal was to find something to use that focused on whitening alone. I think that’s why the Optic White jumped out at me. I believe that it fights plaque as well, but the main selling point is the whitening.
I’m still using my regular toothpaste and I use the Optic White 2-3 times/day besides that. Probably closer to 2x/day. I noticed a difference within a few days. I was only using it for 3 days when at the time I had that in-unison conversation. I very, very rarely drink coffee and I don’t drink red wine so it’s probably easier for me to see results. I’ve been very specific about my whitening history & beverage habits here so you can get an idea of where I was when I started with it. You should give it a try if you’re interested in whitening and especially if you’re interested in maintaining some whitening that you’ve had done. I’m going to guess that my 1998 whitening has worn off, but I wanted to be sure to mention it because it could be a factor into my great results. For the record this review wasn’t paid for by Colgate or anyone else. Just trying to help you look goooood …mmmmhmmmm…. ;). If you end up trying it, please let me know how it works on you.
