It’s denim sale time at Loft! If you’ve even visited a handful of times, you must know by now that I loooooove their jeans. I recently went thru all of thedenim I own and got rid of the ones that no longer fit well. When I started to feel doubt about a pair, I would get back into a pair of the Loft jeans again to confirm how a jean is supposed to fit and feel. Supreme comfort is key and Loft denim nails it for me. Not to mention the fact that they look good on. My thighs touch and I have no plans to separate them. It’s probably genetically impossible. I’m going for the slimmest look I can achieve on the body I’m working with. Loft does that for me.
Denim is one of the toughest items to try-on. I think some of you have tried these and they weren’t a match. For some of you the waist gapes if the hips fit. For others, like myself, the upper, inner thigh bunches into an unattractive look in the crotch. Loft jeans don’t do that to me! Whatever your preferred brand, once you find the perfect match, get two pair. Absolutely don’t doubt quantity if you love them and they’re on sale. I would buy Loft jeans at fp. $70 is reasonable for something I wear on the regular. Of course I enjoy getting them on sale. I currently own 7-9 pair of the modern Loft jeans. A quantity I no longer feel bad about since dumping the bad ones from other brands. And let’s just say this. Yes, there was J Crew denim in the consign/sell/giveaway pile. Had to let it go. I wear jeans 4-7 days/wk, depending on what the day holds. Even if I am in traditional business attire in the day, I usually change into jeans when I get home. Sometimes I change when I get in the car. Supreme comfort is key!
Modern straight leg jeans in rinse wash ($69.50) – These are my favorites. I wear 29/8P. I stick to the dark rinses. The lighter rinses sometimes have whiskering where I don’t want or need it. Plain, simple, dark denim is my go-to choice. I almost bought the Factory straight and narrow jean in cherish wash. The 30 fit, but felt a little big in the waist & hips. There was no 29 to try, so I left the 30s there. I decided I probably wouldn’t wear the lighter shade. It’s just not as forgiving as dark denim.
These are the modern skinny jeans in 27 1/2″ inseam (sold out). Fit is the same as the regular modern skinny jeans, whatever inseam that is.
Curvy skinny jeans ($69.50) – Once I discovered how fab the modern jeans were for me, I went back for another pair. See…just buy 2 pairs right off the bat. They weren’t in stock in-store or online at the time. So I happened to try a pair of these. Curvy jeans are often good for side curves. I have a womp in the back, not on the sides, so they’re usually not a match. These were a match. However, I sized down one in these to a 28/6P.
I think the pair on the left is the curvy skinny. The pair on the right is deifnitely the modern skinny 27 1/2″ inseam that was offered this summer, now sold out. That’s the J Crew Factory cocoon coat (review) and retail scalloped cutout silk top (review).
My shoes on the left are Sperry metallic boat shoes available at Tilly’s. They’re on sale in a slightly different style at Lord & Taylor ($64.99). Shoes on the right on old J Crew gold crackled metallic pair. See a similar pair by Loeffler Randall, on Amazon for $68.
Modern straight leg jean in black ($69.50) – Ema let me know that Loft jeans come in black. How could I not know that!? I ordered a pair now that they’re on $35 promo. There’s also the Modern skinny jeans in black ($69.50). The modern straight are fitted. They go down the sides of the body, but don’t feel tight. It’s a straighter look from hip to the hem. The modern skinny are more fitted to the body and taper toward the bottom. The straight are my first choice because they’re a regular jeans without being a bootcut and without looking like a legging. But I love the skinnies, too.
Tuxedo stripe curvy skinny jeans ($69.50) – I had to try these along w/the black ones. I don’t really need a novelty pair, but if the fit is there then they might be keepers. They only show a 1/4 cropped image of the tuxedo stripe, so I’ll have to get the full effect once they arrive. I ordered a 29/8P, instead of sizing down like I did in the blue pair I own. We’ll see what happens.
Curvy super skinny jeans in steel grey wash – I’m not messing with these. I haven’t tried anything called super skinny from Loft. I have a feeling they would look skin tight and I don’t want that. The shade looks interesting, though. Could look off-black which I wouldn’t like. A straight, dark grey pair would be cool.
Loft also has jeans in bootcut, flare, and trouser. I think I tried one bootcut pair and wasn’t a fan for myself, personally. The looser top with skinny bottom has been working for me so I haven’t branched out much from that. I’m sure the non-skinny styles will be making their way back in. They’re going to want us to buy a whole new round of stuff soon, so they have to swtich it up on us. 😉
Oh yeah, are cords included on the $35 promo, too. No code nesc, btw.
