Lou & Grey hint of lace sweatshirt (337747, $39.50)
I think it’s the neckline that felt a little wide, so it was moving around a little bit. I think a XS would fit better and not be too tight.
Destructed jeans – I figured I’d find these online, but I don’t think I’m seeing them. They might be sold out. Either that, or are online only. Here are some similar choices:
* Boyfriend jeans in destructed buttercream
* Boyfriend jeans in jardin wash
* Boyfriend jeans in terrace blue wash
* Chambray boyfriend jeans – These look nice and clean with no destruction done to them.
The looser fit added weight to my thighs in a place I don’t need it. The pockets are low, making my rear look a little displaced. The jeans taper toward the bottom, which help to make the fit not too slouchy or sloppy. I unrolled them to see if I’d like them any better (no pic), but I didn’t.
All of the buttons were stamped with Loft. It was a lot. They should be plain. This isn’t premium denim, no matter how much I love this year’s modern ankle zip jeans.
Lou & Grey drawstring lace pants (329354, $59.50) run XS – XL. Color choices are black or starlight (off-white/creme). 72% Cotton, 25% Nylon, 3% Other
Size M – black – This felt like the right size to get the pants to fit in the hip (39″) and thighs. I’m 5’0″, to give you an idea of length. The website says the inseam is 29 3/4″. The mirror was dirty, so you can’t really see the lace. It looked pretty good. It definitely attracted me when I saw it on the table. I would be afraid of snagging it, especially on the backside. And I can’t even imagine wearing the starlight color. I don’t think I saw that one in-store to try. I think the lace might show up better on that one. Even though it’s a lighter color, it might look better overall. Or look like pajamas. I think that’s the problem I had with these. They kind of looked and felt like pjs or sweats on, not like pants. So the lace kinda didn’t go with the casual cut. I think a drawstring lace pant could work, but not feel quite a mismatch of a concept like it felt on these.
