About a week ago I was looking for the annual fall fashion event at Macy’s. I found the Macy’s Celebrates Fashion Week event event that will be at the San Francisco Union Square on Friday, Sep 16. I was hoping to attend and share the experience here on Gigi’s Gone Shopping, but I’ll be out of town.
Luckily having 95 tabs open on my computer worked in my favor because at some point and in one of them, I came across a Macy’s event that’s even closer to me and I’m able to go to it! At the moment, I’m listening to my new next door neighbors moving in. Not as exciting as next Saturday when I’ll be arriving at the airport and getting over to the Macy’s Fashion Front Row event. Rock star!
I’m sure everything will be set to music — #dancingladyemoji — And I’m looking forward to the fall trends that will be showcased. From what I’ve seen so far, it looks like we can keep our plaid blanket scarves, short boots and faux fur. This year, it’s great to see burgundy prominently “in” again. And just when I got rid of almost all of the pink in my wardrobe, the shade turns out to be hot for fall. One thing I like about the current, pink fall trend is there are a number of shades to choose from. There isn’t just one pink shade that’s considered hot. I’m curious to see what Macy’s will present.
Click here to see if the Macy’s Front Row event is in your area. If I were in Houston, I’d go to that one for sure. Mario Lopez is going to be there. I’m weak for dimples and I’ve admired the way he transitioned his career over the years from acting on Saved By the Bell to hosting. All events are free. Some of the events request RSVP through EventBrite, so be sure to look for that.
I’ll be at the Macy’s Front Row at Broadway Plaza on Saturday, 9/17. Celebrity stylists from E! News, Lindsay Albanese and Daniel Musto, will be there. There’s also mention of a DIY necklace station, so I’ll be looking for that. If you see me, please say hi! I think I’m going to wear Rachel Roy, aka Becky with the Good Hair. What a great moment that was for her brand earlier this year. Here’s the Sydney dress that I wore to Jeannie’s (Instagram) wedding:
I have the same one in ivory that I am planning to wear (pic). Of course I have a full week to change my mind. If you see me, be sure to say hi.
Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see pics from the event. Also, you should know that next weekend Macy’s is having one of my favorite sales. You get 25% off brands that are usually excluded from promos, like Kate Spade. I’m sure I’ll be making a post about it next week.
