Hello…some of you have been waiting for this one.
Blazer coat (FA14, B0630, $178) runs 00 – 14. The color is called true black. 76% viscose, 21% nylon, 3% spandex, 100% poly lining.
11/12 – $129.99 in-store
Size 6 – chest = 34.75″, waist 33.25″, lower hip 40.25″
Size 8 – chest = 35.75″, waist 34.25″, lower hip 41.25″
Size 6 – For size reference, I’m 37″ across the fullest part of my chest, 39″ hip and 5’0″ in height. This coat reminds me of J. Crew’s Collection top coat (review). This coat is half the price. Like the duskfall stretch blazer, the sleeves were very tight and not easy to get into. It looks looser on the model. I have a feeling a size 8 is how it’s supposed to look. Looser than this. It looks sleek, though and I would probably wear it open most of the time.
12/9 ETA: AFter trying the 6 & 8 twice each, I settled on the 6. The one I received from a store, via an online order, isn’t as tight in the sleeves. Either I tried on one that was unusually tight or the 3% spandex does stretch to fit comfortably. In any case, tts for me.
I’m wearing it with the oversized button-down shirt (review) in XS. I had to have the collection topcoat hemmed. I wouldn’t hem this one. My legs are on the average to longer side for a petite. Your leg length, particularly thigh length will determine where it will hit on you. Shorter thigh length means it will hit closer to the knee.
