Split decision. I liked the J Crew sequin dress, but it definitely has limitations on where you can wear it. The Piperlime dress is a Poly/rayon/spandex blend. It’s easy to hate on poly + ester cuz they just don’t breathe. A blend may be a little better. It’s cute, though.
Piperlime – Save an additional 25% off select sale items with LIME thru Monday, 7/1. A few picks…
* Pim + Larkin boatneck lace top ($64.99) – Pretty good ratings. I like the navy. It also comes in a bright green color.
* Sabine vegan leather tank ($69.99) – This tie waist would be atrocious on me, but I wanted to share as it’s on sale + 25% off with LIME and not final sale.
* Vanishing Elephant Irvine stripe knit tee ($44.99) – I liked J Crew’s long-sleeve pocket tee in stripe ($45) and JCAs have given it good reviews. I haven’t tried it on, but saw it irl. It looks like it will be just a little too thin for me and cling in a bad way to my stomach. Also, I didn’t like the rounded hemline. I like the lighter blue color and am thinking of trying this. I think the Piperlime option is thicker…and I know…long sleeves in summer, but I’m starting to like them more and more in this season to help prevent sun rashes. Sunblock isn’t doing enough.
* Zoa silk pajama blouse ($78.99) – Silk is listed as fabric content, but according to one reviewer it’s polyester. There may be other issues w/it, i.e. the need for a cami. However, I like the piping on it. And I seem to be warming up to some of these necklines I didn’t like in the past. I think it’s the v on this one.
