If you’re a fashion blog reader or follow fashion Instagrammers, you’ve probably seen the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 at least once or twice, in the past few years. The front part of the boot is leather and the back is an elastic stretch. I haven’t tried them, but it sounds like you could get the perfect fit with the elastic forming to your leg shape. The 50/50 cost a pretty penny, so seeing an alternative at the fraction of the cost is worth a look.
Split decision. I haven’t seen either of these shoes. The 50/50 looks good on some people online. On others, the front part of the boot reminds me of duck feet. For the price, they’d have to be perfect on me. The contender, Vince Camuto, makes a nice shoe. The main question is whether the leather is good or of lesser quality since there’s a big panel of it. The Vince Camutos are rated 5 of 5 stars from reviewers, which makes them worth a try.
Split decision. Anotha contenda. I’ve seen Louise et Cie at Nordstrom, but have never tried on a pair. They have the same original retail as the Vince Camuto above. The leather looks better on those, but photography and the filters they choose can be a factor
There’s also a quilted 50/50. They look gorgeous.
SHOES gets 25% off of 2+ pairs thru Sun, 9/21. Should work on the Vince Camuto Karita.
Do you own the 50/50 or a ‘knockoff’ ?
