Introducing Urban Allure SF — I’ve been going to Urban Allure for a year now. I met Rocio & Erin when a friend of mine & I were at a Shecky’s event last year in SF. Shortly thereafter I had a facial or two with Rocio Guzman. And in the last week of 2008, I tried the Vitalize Peel. Wow. I didn’t need to wear makeup for a week. However, I prefer to wear suncreen and powder to keep the elements from seeping in. When I finally started putting my MAC Studio Fix on again, I kept thinking I was applying my makeup incorrectly. It turned out that I needed a new shade. That’s how effective the peel was for me. I imagine that everyone has different results.
When I was there a couple weeks ago, Rocio told me a story about a woman who had lived with acne scars for years. One Vitalize peel made a huge difference in her face and in her life. You know if you need your roots touched up, maybe it’s time for a relaxer or an eyebrow wax…and you just don’t feel great? I feel that way about my skin. I am very conscious of the zits I get because some of them are under the skin. Not to mention they are painful. I recently had one and try to kill it DIY style. Bad idea. It got worse. I weighed my options since it was causing a lot of pain and decided to go to Rocio…instead of my dermatologist. I knew I could get the problem handled, as well as get a deep cleaning. Even though I lay there with my eyes closed, I could feel Rocio’s excitement as she attacked the zit. She got most of it handled during the Prescription Facial and gave me a sample of a magic potion to finish the job. I applied twice daily as instructed and the zit (it was a cluster of them in one!) has effectively been killed.
I am so excited Urban Allure is offering the following special in conjunction with Gigi’s Gone Shopping:
In case the text is unclear the special is —— 15% off any services (laser and/or skincare)
— 10% off any products purchased at the time of service. Urban Allure sells Obagi, Skin Ceuticals, La Roche-Posay, Nia (great hand creme!) among others.

I’ll have more information about Rocio and Erin, the R.N. (who runs the laser side of things) over the month of September. I had a nice chat with each of them that may benefit some of you even if you aren’t in the area to take advantageof the special.
