Size 8 – I’m a 7.5 and wear 8 in J. Crew pumps and wedges. This the size I would expect to fit and it did. 7.5 wouldn’t work for me. They never do at J. Crew. My foot is medium width. Not particularly narrow and my foot doesn’t taper. Pic of my foot Size 8 (scroll down).
The interior arch wasn’t comfortable. It’s a little pitched forward more than I expect it to be. It slant looks pretty mild online. I find the problem with some of J. Crew’s heels to be a very sharp arch. It’s angular in shape, like the sides of a triangle. Not smooth, like a slope.
The toe box felt fine and not too tight. J. Crew’s area of opportunity is to create heels with more padding. The Juliets (2008) had a little padding, but it was small, like a teensy pantyliner. lol The shoe designs are awesome and would be more justifiable at full price if the comfort was there, consistently.
Not too much toe cleavage.
The heel didn’t feel too high, but it’s gonna feel high if the arch comfort isn’t there.
I was very attracted to the metallic gold. It’s striking. I’m not sure the black and gold would be for me, personallly. It was just a little 80s. I’d have to try them on w/items in my wardrobe.
