Wool metallic braid sweater (HO14, $118) runs regular XXS – XL (B7946) and petite PXS – PL (C1826). Color choices are heather natural, heather pewter & indigo.
100% wool, exclusive of stripe. Hand wash cold, do not wring or twist, lay flat to dry, warm iron, do not dry clean.
Size XS – heather natural – I like the color. I’m not a fan of the asymmetrical zips that I’ve seen on sweater at J. Crew and other retailers. The sequin trim is a similar style, but it was an interesting contrast. Maybe the sparkles got me. The sleeve was fitted, close to tight. There was a drop-shoulder, so I tried the XS, but I would choose S.
I have the without you tee on underneath. Review coming later today.
Chunky turtleneck sweater (HO14, $118) runs regular XXXS – XL (B5875) and petite PXS – PL (C1824). Color choices are black, heather nickel, heather peri heather rosebud and pearl. 45% wool, 30% acrylic, 25% alpaca. Dry clean.
12/12 – $79.99 in-store & online
Size XS – The sweater looked cropped and I thought it was one I hadn’t seen before. The sweater is described online as having a boxy fit, but cropped would be more accurate. I’m 5’0″ and it’s hitting at the top of my hip. The shoulder has a slight drop. The XS fit ok and didn’t feel too tight, but I think my usual S would be a better fit. The sweater would’ve been better in 100% cotton, though. That and just keep the shoulder seam normal, no drop.
With the floral shield necklace. I would wear a long, pendant necklace to draw the eye downward. I have a thing for this color even though pastels aren’t great in clothing on me. I would’ve purchased black if it were similar to the cotton used for the rib-stitch cardigan (review).
This sweater isn’t cropped or chunky, but why is Forever 21’s cable turtleneck sweater ($22.80) more refined than J Crew’s offering? And the Forever 21 is 57% cotton, 43% acrylic. It’s currently 30% off, netting $15.96 thru Sun, 12/14.
In the reviews picky shopper says: Really classic. Looks like a J Crew or Ralph Lauren sweater.
