Sam Edelman’s Petty is available at various retailers in solid suede and two different calf hair color patterns. The one below, leopard, is available at Piperlime. Use EXTRA20 for an additional 20% off thru today, 1/28. They are on final sale, fyi.
Size 7.5 – I wear 7.5, sometimes 8. A couple months ago I tried 7.5s and 8s on at least two different occasions. The 8 always felt too big. So when I saw them on Shopbop — on final sale — I felt confident ordering the 7.5. I didn’t feel confident about the color pattern because I’d never seen it irl, but I went for it.
This print, animal, is available online at Lord & Taylor in size 6.5.
When I tried the shoes on, it was always at Nordstrom. You may end up bumping into them if you go to The Nordstrom Rack.
The color pattern looks similar to the one above, but they’re actually a little lighter in color.
When I put my foot in, they fit exactly. I actually have to do the push-thru-the-heel thing like when you put on cowboy boots…to get my feet down into them. They’re snug and fit exactly. Like I said, the 8 was too big, so I’m sure about my 7.5s.
They’re a little stiff. I’ll be working my shoe stretch spray (similar) in there for a quick break-in.
That’s my Gap star print sweatshirt. I wear it around the house. If you ever see a crazy sweatshirt that you like, but wouldn’t want to wear as gear out in the world, consider it just for cute loungewear.
One thing I like about the shoes is how ‘clean’ they look. Calf hair is not always trimmed on shoes or sometimes it just looks a little hairy.
Good stitching. They don’t feel like the most expensive shoes in the world, but they feel solidly crafted. All of the stitching and seams look good.
